Paws For Thought
Our 4-legged friends are always assured of a warm welcome at Dunes Hotel throughout the year, with Roanhead Beach just a short walk away, and the South Lakes with endless open spaces, trails, rivers and footpaths to explore, they’ll be spoilt for choice.
Dunes Hotel is nestled within acres of private land and manicured lawns giving you plenty of space to give them a little exercise before enjoying your breakfast in our Terrace prior to starting your own day exploring the many beautiful locations locally and further afield.
We allow dogs to accompany you throughout the grounds and in our Coast Bar area and in any of our dog-friendly rooms throughout the hotel. Our Human Guests are permitted a maximum of two well-behaved and house-trained dogs per Guest Bedroom, charged at £15 per night for the first dog and £5 per night for an additional dog.
Each dog will be given a Dunes Hotel treat bag, fresh water and bedding.
To make a reservation in one of our dog friendly rooms, please call our reservations team on 01229 461 200 and advise us of any special requirements they might have.
Whilst staying with us, well behaved and house-trained dogs are welcome to roam our grounds, we only ask that you keep your dog on a lead at all times, ensuring to clear up after your dog. When venturing further afield we ask that you respect our wildlife and local livestock and don’t let your dog chase other animals or children, and we would recommend you following National Parks guidelines; when visiting other areas of the beautiful Lake District
If you are traveling by train then no problem we have you covered. Our closest station is Dalton In Furness and you can book a local taxi, these companies are happy to help transport your pet.
Also you need not be concerned if your beloved pet should fall ill while with us we have some very good vets locally.
